Elementary Aftercare Only ... The back gate on Evans Drive will be closed on Fridays after 4:00 p.m. You will have to enter the parking lot from Parkers Chapel Road and drive between the gym and cafeteria to the back parking lot. You will also have to exit the same way. This front gate will be locked after 5:30 p.m. on Fridays. This will not include Friday nights when basketball games are scheduled on campus.
This is a reminder that parent teacher conferences are tomorrow, Tuesday, October 13th, from 3:30-7:00 p.m. Normal dismissal times will be followed (no early dismissal).

Students in grades 3 & 4 will be taking the State Atlas Interim Fall Test this week each morning. We need students to arrive on time and be well rested. It is extremely important that students attend every day this week. Thanks for your help and support as we test Monday through Thursday.
This is a reminder that we will have a four day weekend next week. There will be no school on Friday, October 9th and no school on Monday, October 12th. Parent - Teacher Conferences will be held Tuesday, October 13th, beginning at 3:30 p.m.
K-4: Please return your child's sheet this morning to their teacher that was sent home in folders yesterday. Please mark if your child is being picked up at 11:30 behind the gym or if they are staying for the crowning ceremony. *** If your child needs to be picked up at 11:30 in front of the high school with a middle school sibling, just write that on the note. If your child is staying for the ceremony, indicate if they will ride the bus at 1:30 or if they will be a car rider. The options for car line are: elementary car line behind the gym, or middle school circle car line behind the high school. If your child is walking home or walking to the high school to meet someone just write that on the note please. Thank you for returning this note so we are able to have your child in the correct location this afternoon.
Preschool parents will need to wait and arrive at 11:55 to pick their children up at noon (12:00 p.m.).
This is a reminder that a Cub Scout Meeting for Kindergarten through Fifth Grade students will be held in the cafeteria from 6:45 - 7:30. Ronda Plummer with Scouts of America will lead the meeting. Mrs. Books will be the school representative present. Mrs. Plummer will explain the sign-up process, have applications, and discuss meeting times and dates. She will also speak with anyone who wants to volunteer as a leader or assistant. If you plan to sign up, please bring cash or a check to pay the fee. She will discuss the fee and provide information about alternative payment options.

The PTO Elementary Fund Raiser HATS and SHIRTS are being delivered today and tomorrow. If you placed an order, please check backpacks today or tomorrow for your items. The business packaged and labeled the orders for us. Thanks for supporting our school and the PTO. The link will go live again at a later date. This is a reminder that there will be a fourth grade parent meeting tonight in the cafeteria from 5:00 - 5:45 p.m.
ELEMENTARY REMINDER: Yearbook pictures are tomorrow. Do not wear cheer suits, tattoos, or wear spirit blue/white clothing. You must have pictures taken if you are on campus. We will have a makeup day for students who miss it due to illness.
Thursday is DOT Day at PC Elementary. This is a day we will celebrate creativity, courage, & collaboration. Students are encouraged to wear polka dots on this day as a symbol of making their positive mark on our school and their world.

TUESDAY, SEPT. 8: KINDERGARTEN PARENT MEETING @ 6 PM. Parents of kindergarten students are encouraged to attend a meeting tonight in the cafeteria at 6:00 p.m. The meeting will be hosted by the kindergarten teachers and Ms. Burson. We will cover expectations, curriculum, discipline, communication, the school website, ezschoolpay, and how to check grades online. We hope to see you there.
TUESDAY - SEPT. 8: An Elementary PTO meeting will be held tonight at 6:00 p.m. in the elementary building. We will use Mrs. Burkett's room (the 2nd doorway on the right in the main hallway). Enter the elementary lobby. The agenda will cover possible dates for the Fall Festival and Booth Ideas, T-Shirt & Cap Fundraiser Update, Bank Account Paperwork Update, Other Fundraiser Ideas, and Sonic Drink Deliveries. If you want to help and participate, please attend. Membership is $10 if you have not joined the PTO this year. We hope to see you there.
ELEMENTARY CAR LINE ... Aug. 24th-28th. We will load cars at 3:00 p.m. next week. Remind your children that if we call their name and they do not come to their spot immediately, you will have to circle around and get back in line. If all goes well, we will move to 3:05 p.m. the following week. The ELEMENTARY LINE is the line behind the gym. It is primarily for the K-3 students. We understand that siblings from upper grades may come to this line. That is fine. The MIDDLE SCHOOL LINE is the line behind the high school, which circles the old baseball field. Remember that Middle School and High School do not dismiss until 3:05 p.m. If you are picking up a MS / HS student behind the gym, don't get in line until 3:10 p.m. to allow that student time to get down to our pick-up area. (1) Remember to pull forward as much as you can and close gaps between cars. (2) Students should have backpacks, water bottles, jackets, and all the things - ready to exit the car or load. (3) Hugs and kisses when you leave the house. But always, always say, "I love you." (4) NO PHONES IN THE CAR LINE... PUT THEM DOWN PLEASE.. it is the law.
ADULTS: DROPPING OFF or PICKING UP STUDENTS: Parents of Preschool students through the 4th grade who enter the building to sign in students (at prek) or at the office for tardies, checking in and out for doctor appointments, etc., must be appropriately dressed. We thank you in advance for helping with this. We ask that you be mindful of the environment and our purpose. If you are unsure about the appropriateness of the clothing you are wearing to school drop-off, it probably is not okay.
This is a reminder that the school campus is a closed campus. Parents must check in at the office and have a pass or permission to be in the hallways before, during, or after school. Parents are required to email teachers to schedule a visit during their conference time, or call the office to schedule an appointment. Thank you for following these guidelines. (PreK parents may enter the lobby to sign students in before school each morning. ABC PreK parents may enter the building to sign students in each morning.)
